You may not have discovered the saxon-resources download file which includes sample applications both for the s9api interface and for XQJ. You can find this download file both on Sourceforge and on the saxonica.com site. Michael Kay http://www.saxonica.com/

Hey Michael, I am also searching for examples how to start an XQuery with my java application or IDE like "Eclipse" . I am sorry but I could not find anything like that, maybe you can give a full URL to those files, or just write down the essential code lines... I want to use eclipse for testing my XQueries in a more flexible way (the command line works fine, but using eclipse would could offer much more possibilities) Greets, ND (sorry if my english isn't that perfect ;) )

I'm afraid I don't use Eclipse so I can't give you any advice on how to use it. As far as I can see, if you know how to use the Saxon API and you know how to use Eclipse then you have all the information you need to use them together. If you use the saxon-help mailing list, rather than the forum, you may find it easier to reach other Saxon users whose environment is similar to yours.
