Can Saxon load data directly into MySQL DB

Can Saxon (easily) load data directly into MySQL tables instead of a csv file? How does the speed compare with loading csv file? where can i find information on that?

You can use the Saxon SQL extension to load data into any SQL database accessible using JDBC. See http://www.saxonica.com/documentation/sql-extension/intro.html for details. I have no idea how the performance compares. Take some measurements, and let us know the answer. Michael Kay Saxonica
