node identity issue?

Michael, consider the following query: (for $v1 in (1,2,3) let $v2 := <e/> return ($v2))/. It evaluates to: <e/> Where I would have expected 3 elements. Using Saxon8.7.3, but have the impression it behaves like this since a while. Thanks, Marc
