Saxon and Docbook Slides - SLOW!

I am using Saxon to create DOCBOOK slides. I am using Saxon on Windows XP with Sun Java. It is extremely slow creating the HTML files. (About One Minute - For a very small DOCBOOK XML file - One slide.) Does anyone have any ideas about what might be causing the slow down? Thanks!

No, I've no idea. Without knowing what your stylesheet and source document look like, it's impossible to know what the problem might be. Are you fetching any files off the internet during the transformation, perhaps? Just a guess. Michael Kay
