XSLT 3.0 accumulators

XSLT 3.0 xsl:accumulators - are they supported? (I believe they are not, but maybe I am doing something wrong) If not, is there a roadmap?

Accumulators have been implemented in the development branch, but the implementation will not be released until Saxon 9.5 comes out (for which we have no planned date as yet).

Accumulators were not even invented at the time of the Saxon 9.4 release...
