There are quite a few examples in the saxon-resources download. If you're skipping forward by several releases at once it can be a little daunting as the major releases (8.9, 9..0, 9.1, 9.2 etc) all have a lengthy list of changes, and wading through it all is not much fun. But the change lists are there if you need them. The main APIs that most people use have remained pretty stable, so the best strategy is just to try running it under the new release and fix the problems one by one as you encounter them. The thing you are most likely to trip over is the change from Saxon-B 9.1 to Saxon-HE 9.2 which removed quite a few Saxon extensions and extensibility points from the product.
