Is 11.6 or 12.3 the "official" most stable and reliable release?
Added by Martin Honnen about 1 year ago
I was a bit surprised that the oXygen 26 release includes Saxon 12.3 and I am even more surprised that their documentation https://www.oxygenxml.com/xml_editor/whats_new.html#26.0XSLT___XQuery___XPath says
The Saxon 12 release is currently considered the most stable and reliable version.
because https://www.saxonica.com/download/java.xml still says
Saxon 11 is currently considered the most stable and reliable release.
What is the official most stable and reliable release, 11 and 12?

I was a little surprised by the Oxygen announcement as well. :-)
I do think that 12.3 is stable and reliable, but we didn’t change “the
most stable and reliable release” to 12.3. I have every expectation that
we will change it for 12.4.
Candidly, I think what happened was we shipped 12.3 then realized we
hadn’t announced that as the new stable release, so we decided to wait
until 12.4. We might just as well have made the announcement about 12.3
after the fact, but we didn’t.
