OS : AIX 4.3.3.0 & NT4.0 SP 6

Application & presentationserver : Weblogic 5.1 SP8

(same instance)

We're using a setup, where our jsp' delivers XML and

then the entire page is parsed using XSLT called from

a custom tag. We're using SAXON because of the

performance and TRAX interfaxe.

Sometimes when starting up our Weblogic servers we get

XSLT errors as soon as the first page is requested. We

can't get out of the situation unless we restart the

Weblogic (sometimes serveral times).

We upgraded to SAXON 6.3 since it had somewhat better

performance than the SAXON version we used before and

where we had the problem too.

I've attached our Weblogic Log where the error shows.

  1. This bug register is for recording known Saxon bugs, not

for reporting suspected bugs.

  1. There is no evidence that you are actually using Saxon.

The error message text "Unknown system function" does not

occur anywhere in Saxon. Check your system properties; I

suspect you are running Xalan.
