The attached class XOMWriter implements Receiver and Result and can therefore be used in the Transformer.transform() and XQueryExpression.run() methods to direct the output of a transformation or query to a new XOM Document (analogous to DOMResult for DOM).
It is intended for release with Saxon 9.1 but I can't see any reason why it shouldn't work with earlier releases.
