Description

In the documentation Function Library, links are provided to the W3C specifications. But the links to XPath 2.0 Functions and Operators actually just direct to the most recent spec (http://www.w3.org/TR/xpath-functions/).

Perhaps we should be directing to https://www.w3.org/TR/xquery-operators/ or https://www.w3.org/2005/04/xpath-functions/

  • Status changed from New to In Progress
  • Fix Committed on Branch 9.9 added

In fact (as Mike pointed out) since 9.9 only provides XPath 3.1, it is not worth keeping the links to older specs. Updates committed in the relevant generating stylesheets on the 9.9 branch: xsl/functions-data.xsl, functions-functions.xsl (and viewer_appJS.sef.xml); and to-static/c-functions.xsl (for the HTML version).

9.9 documentation to be updated online with the next maintenance release.

I have not made changes on 9.8 or earlier, so those versions of the documentation still have broken links.
