Description

The Serialization Conformance information in the Saxon documentation at http://www.saxonica.com/documentation/index.html#!conformance/serialization is out of date. It refers to the XSLT and XQuery Serialization 3.1 Recommendation dated 21 March 2017 but does not cover the full checklist of implementation-defined features at https://www.w3.org/TR/xslt-xquery-serialization/#implementation-defined-features

The documentation list only does up to 5, but the specification has 13 points in the list.

(Discovered when I was looking for details about the Saxon implementation of the Adaptive output method, specifically, point 12: "It is implementation-defined whether the serialization process recovers from serialization errors when the Adaptive output method is used.")

Actions #1

Updated by Michael Kay over 4 years ago

  • Status changed from New to Resolved
  • Assignee changed from Michael Kay to Debbie Lockett
  • Fix Committed on Branch trunk added

I have updated the conformance.xml file in the trunk to supply the required information. It needs retrofitting to 9.9.
