Are these EXPath Archive functions really implemented?

I'm getting XPST0017 errors on XSLT 2.0 on 9.7.0.13 and 9.6.0.7 (both EE). So I'm wondering...

Thanks for pointing this out. You're right; it appears that these functions were never implemented, although they somehow made it into the documentation. I have raised a bug: https://saxonica.plan.io/issues/3050

These functions are defined in an editor's draft of the Archive module whose status is unclear.

Copy of message sent today to the expath CG list:

What's the status of the Archive module?

The URL http://expath.org/spec/archive points to a version dated 30 September 2013.

There is also a version at http://expath.org/spec/archive/editor dated 12 May 2014 (whose "this version" link is broken).

The URL http://expath.org/modules doesn't mention the archive module at all.
