Description
The Java JAXP SPI file /META-INF/services/javax.xml.xpath.XPathFactory is missing in 9.6.0-2 HE.
In 9.5.1-8 HE is was present.

The decision was made to drop the services information for XPath from release Saxon 9.6 due to reasons described in bug issue #1944.

Okay, thanks for the update. I assume this is noteworthy for the 9.6 Documentation :)

Indeed, we need to update the documentation at
http://www.saxonica.com/documentation/#!xpath-api/jaxp-xpath/factory
The change is documented in the change log here: http://www.saxonica.com/documentation/#!changes/JAXP/9.5.1-9.6 but wasn't followed through to the JAXP pages.
