The fn:serialize() function has its own list of extension parameters that it accepts; canonical and newline were missing from the list.

(It accepts saxon:supply-source-locator which makes no sense in this context, but I left that in. The only other property missing from the list is saxon:next-in-chain which isn't really a serialization parameter at all.)
