The configuration file schema config.xsd, supplied in the saxon-resources download, is out of date (e.g. global/@validationComment missing). The corresponding documentation (http://www.saxonica.com/documentation/index.html#!configuration/configuration-file) should also be checked for any required updates and corrections.

The updated schema config.xsd is attached (along with updates to the configuration file config.xml, and saxon-attributes.xsd schema, also found in the saxon-resources samples).

The online documentation in the 'Configuration' section has also been checked and corrected, in particular there are a number of updates in the section 'The Saxon configuration file'.

These files in the samples/config directory have now (belatedly) also been updated in the 9.6 archive. The saxon-resources download was already updated (at the time of the 9.6.0.5 maintenance release) to include these samples.
