Bug #3060

XMLSchema.dtd missing from catalogue
Category:
Build and release
Fix Committed on Branch:
9.7
Fixed in Maintenance Release:
Description
In the latest Java Saxon-EE release (SaxonEE9-7-0-13J.zip), the bottom of the w3c/catalog.xml file makes reference to the http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema.dtd file. This does not appear to be present, along with the xmlschema folder.
Yes there does seem to be a problem here. In fact there are two folders now, xmlschema10 and xmlschema11, holding the 1.0 and 1.1 versions of these DTDs. But the system IDs and public IDs seem to need updating.
I'm not sure what the issued catalog.xml file is used for. I don't think Saxon uses it itself - it has an internal catalog mapping the public and system IDs to file names within the JAR, and this internal catalog appears to be correct.

The SaxonEE9-7-0-13J.zip and SaxonEE9-7-0-14J releases do not appear to have an xmlschema10 or xmlschema11 included either. In fact, it doesn't appear to contain an XMLSchema.dtd anywhere in the saxon9ee.jar archive.
Sorry, I didn't check the final built JAR files. Seems something gets dropped at a late stage of the build process.
